L4D movies.

I’ve decided to film some shorts of Left 4 Dead. I need eight xbox live friends and a few hours. I did a little preliminary shooting today but I’ll need more. So if you’re reading this you probably were sent here via xbox and want to help
My premise is to get funny footage of versus mode and edit it to music. I have a few songs picked out.
I need eight players and someone else has to be Zoey so I can get footage of her. I want to start on the survivors team and be Bill so we don’t see him much (see poster). I was thinking that it could be a Zoey getting picked on by infected scenario- getting pounced, smoked and puked on of course but even more than that- like running towards me with all the infected behind her and Zoey and infected dancing. Not to leave out the other survivors- they’ll be needed to. More of the same.
If you’re interested let me know via xbox message- and let me know how you want your name in the credits. I’ll put the videos on myspace/facebook/youtube etc. and my media site…
Thanks! And remember:

This isn’t so much about Barack Obama as it is our nation’s history. Our progression through a mess of shit. Steps through evolution as a country. Lets look at the bigger picture here. Obviously our nation hasn’t had the cleanest track record when dealing with individuals. We’ve come a long way from the emancipation proclamation.
Fifty years ago, Obama’s parents wouldn’t have even been able to get married if it hadn’t been for Richard and Mildred Loving. Interracial marriage wasn’t accepted fully until 1967 (16 states which still had anti-miscegenation laws on their books were forced to erase them).
1967. My mother was nineteen years old. Four years after J.F.K was shot, just about a hundred years after the Civil War ended and Lincoln was assassinated. With the prospect of change comes immense responsibility and a touch of danger. I hope that humanity can move forward and accept the change that is occurring today.
Think about those who have lived and died to get us here. All races, with dreams and a unwavering faith in humanity.
Like it or lump it- there is something big happening today. Those that try and act nonchalant should really be punched in the face. You’ve gotten peen stomped- stop acting like a baby. This is the stuff that goes into the history books. If we manage not to destroy ourselves, our children’s children’s children will be reading about it from some space station orbiting Neptune. Get a grip, take a breath, and just bask in the new attitude that America has. There may be a chance for us after all.
So long Bush. Hello Obama.

change.
That’s the word of the year right? Awesome word. January is half over and it’s time to change! Get on with it- change already! I kid I kid… but I’m just reliving the most brilliant South Park episode evah… About Last Night. I love South Park. Those guys are just effing brilliant. BRILLIANT I SAY. What other word can I use? Magnificent. Clever. Exceptional.
Team America is in my top 5 favorite movies. South Park I watch religiously. Those two ass clowns could make a musical about Mormons and I’d watch it… hmmm… I hate don’t like Mormons.
Anyway I just wanted to state all this random crap before the big day- January 20th. Obama finally gets to do all this changing he’s been raving about. Can’t wait to see it. My cousin, Amanda gets to go to DC during the party fun time chaos. I hope she has a memorable time and comes back changed. Maybe like a pod person. That would be cool.
And while I’m on that note- keep Farasi, my nephew in your thoughts. He had some tumors in his mouth and it’s really wearing on Amanda. We find out soon if the tumors are malignant or not.
I’ve got nothing else to complain about. School is off to a good start. Going to drive me crazy. Work too. Hope I can get it all together before March!
Oh and today is Mike’s and my 4th anniversary. But really it’s our 10th if you think about it because that’s how long we’ve been putting up with each other’s shit.
Other boring updates:
I played GTA4 for the first time in awhile and only killed 3 hookers. In my defense it was an accident- I was going too fast and I did a furious drift right into a nest of them. It’s not my fault they hang out on street corners.

graduation.
So two years have flown by and I’m ready for my BS in multimedia. Seems like just yesterday I didn’t even know what the hell Dreamweaver was. Now I’m awesome! And modest… no really I get to do a lot in the coming months… like make sure all my sites are good to go- I still hate the devil internet explorer and if you use it please stop! Download the firefox browser here. Stop whining and do it. I know what the hell I’m talking about.
So anyway back to graduation. I had my invites designed by my cool friend Q.

She’s artsy and stuff. She comes up with the best stuff and you should check out her store. Buy her jewelry. I have it- so should you. I will honestly say with all confidence that she’s amazing and her artwork/crafts are impeccable.

perigee moon.
Perigee is the closest point to the earth and it is in this stage that the moon appears larger. Looking at the moon in the sky without anything to compare it to, you wouldn’t notice any size difference. But the difference in size can in fact be quite significant.
Oh but I got my ass outside to get it to compare to the horizon. It was difficult to capture because it was still pretty bright out- and the brightness of the moon itself throws a lot off. So I sat outside for awhile on the hilltop that overlooks Mission Gorge.
I ended up doing some minimal photoshop work to bring out some detail in the moon. Overall I was happy with the shot.

I’ve been deeply obsessed involved in the world of Left 4 Dead. I love zombies… it’s hard to put down a game that involves them. I just wanted to state that L4D is one of the best games I’ve played. Sure it’s not as elaborate as GTA4 but it’s fun, and scary as hell. The gaming environment changes with gameplay- which means that you never encounter the same series of events twice.
I have been playing online with a Madi and Demarko and we’ve just had a blast (blasting zombies). Team mode is fun on the xbox 360. You can play as the survivors, or live on the other side and play an special infected.

So that’s been my holidays. Killing zombies. I’m not exactly religious in that rite I suppose. The game was Mike’s present to me. Merry Christmas- aim for the head.
In other zombie news I ordered this awesome shirt:
Hopefully it comes in the mail soon…
Current Favorites:
Game: Left 4 Dead
Song: Cake/Love You Madly
Food: Gyros
TV show: Nip/Tuck
Actor: Michael C. Hall
Ciao!

fallout.
Overshadowing my excitement on the release of Fallout 3 (finally) is the looming election. Tomorrow the shit goes down. Who am I voting for? Obama… all the way. All of the detestable, hate-filed crap I’ve been reading about him from the hearts of change-fearing Republicans everywhere have convinced me that this man is awesome.
I’ve changed my views a lot these past four years… and I mean A LOT. Because if there’s one thing I’m not it’s close-minded. People who I initially thought were intelligent have let me down horribly these past few months. I don’t need to list and preach my reasonings… I’ve seen a lot of things- first hand. It’s all I need to be 250% sure of my candidate that I 75% agree with. No one ever gets it totally right…
I’ll write something longer when the election is over.

twilight.
I’m having mixed feelings about this book. I like it but I’m not sure why people are obsessing over it. I guess it’s just the vampire’s time to shine… haha shine… get it? Yeah I’m dumb. So luckily for all those non-reading kids out there today, the movie is coming out next month. Teenage girls everywhere are swooning for Edward Cullen… a last name I don’t like to look at!!
Everyone was making a big deal about this trailer:
Which aside from the annoying Interview with the Vampire music at the beginning looks good.
I realized I don’t like Stephanie Meyer for the soul reason that she has everything I wanted out of publishing a novel. So as usual the dislike stems from jealousy… and the woman likes all the music I do. It’s irritating. Oh well… she made it to the life boat- I’m still swimming. It’s either be a famous photographer or a famous writer… I want both damn it!!
So yes I will try and finish this series- because it’s not a vampire story without werewolves… I need to get to the werewolves. The target is younger kids. I can see that right off. I’m probably around 15 years too old to read this and take it seriously- But the woman writes a story well. I can sit here and bash her for all of the little things I usually grip about but hey- in this day and age of unoriginality: Stephanie Meyers came up with something a “little” bit different.
November 21st Twilight… yay Kristin Stewart.
One day I’ll publish my novel. At least it’s not about vampires… sci-fi is so much cooler. Yeah I said it.

photoshop (v.1)
Photoshop is awesome. There are those of us that use it and then sometimes we over use it… whatever happens it’s reall broadened my horizons on photography in general. Don’t get me wrong- you can still take a shitty picture and nothing short of a blow torch can fix it. Some people think that because PS is around that everyone can be a photographer. Not true. You need an eye for it along with a good understanding of some of the mechanics- no we dont shoot in green box mode. Ever.
Here’s my factuation of the week: image manipulation
I go back and forth between it. Sometimes it’s just way too much work. But if I have some good studio shots I’ll mess around with them. Nothing too fancy here… just gener
ating some twins.
